    The Chiefs signed Travis Kelce to a two-year contract extension Monday that general manager Brett Veach said would make him the league's highest-paid tight end while keeping him with the Super Bowl champions through the 2027 season.

      The greatest goal-scorer of this generation was held without a point for the first time in a series in his nearly two-decade NHL career. The best goaltender in the league this season has given up a first round-high 19 goals. One team has lost a Vezina Trophy finalist, used three different guys in net and taken a 3-1 series lead anyway. And another won a game putting just 13 shots on net thanks to the goalie everyone thought was the problem making 33 saves. The start of the Stanley Cup playoffs has been anything but predictable.

        The historic Versailles Palace Gardens will soon host the Paris Olympics equestrian sports. Meanwhile, the select riders in the National Equestrian Academy who handle the palace's famed royal stables are continuing to care for their beloved horses. 

          The 150th Kentucky Derby is missing horse racing's household name. Bob Baffert owns a record-tying six victories, but he won't be saddling a horse in Saturday's Run for the Roses for the third consecutive year.

            The New York Liberty know how tough it is to put together a talented roster, have players jell in their first year together and win a title. They fell just short last year, losing to the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA Finals. As training camp opened Sunday, New York's starting five from last season was healthy and practicing.
